Swiss-tastic

Manuela and Daniel decided to forgo an elaborate wedding in their home country of Switzerland, and instead flew to BC, where they toured the Rockies with friends and enjoyed a couple of weeks in our beautiful city.

The entire wedding consisted of the happy couple and their two closest friends, and took place at Queen Elizabeth Park. The gardeners there even let us hop a couple of barriers to get some great photos in otherwise restricted areas (don't tell anybody!)

They flew off to Victoria the next day, edited and retouched photos in hand (that was a loooooooong night for me), and are now back in the land of chocolate, cheese and chard with some great memories and several hundred images to enjoy for years to come. Thank you guys, for letting me be one of only 6 people to witness your special day.

Sean and Reena Get Married

Nice afternoon in the country :):)...... Pouring Rain Friday night....Saturday Morning the clouds break and Voila' .....Beautiful outside!!! So our hit rate continues White Chapel has never been RAINED out!

So onto the Wedding, this was for my 2nd Cousins, third brothers, son's daughters,son's , Big Day :) Actually.....there was so many kids in my Dad's family... Somehow I am related to them..... Reena,Sean..... I had a blast...Your families were wonderful and it's really nice to see so much love in your eyes!!! Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your images!

Leanne and Jesse tie the knot in Pitt Meadows

I have to admit I sometimes get a little choked up during wedding ceremonies. If someone else starts to tear up it can get me started pretty easily. So when Leanne started to get all misty eyed the minute she walked down the aisle I was pretty much finished. Good thing I had my camera on auto focus, cause there were a few moments there where I could hardly see a thing!

But the ceremony itself was perfect: another blue sky day, a great backdrop at Meadow Gardens Golf Course in Pitt Meadows, terrific wedding photography (if I do say so myself) and a fun-loving group of guys and gals reminded me why I love this job so much. Oh yeah, and the food was excellent!

Dancing with Carmen and Damir

Who says Croatians don't know how to party? Actually, I've never heard anybody say that, cause it's just not true. Carmen and Damir put on their dancing shoes in the morning and didn't take them off until the wee hours. A traditional Croatian folk band was on hand to keep things lively, and the dancing started outside the church about 10 seconds after the wedding ceremony ended. Thankfully the band stopped playing long enough for us to enjoy an enormous feast at the Vancouver Croatian Cultural Centre, then everyone went back to the dance floor.

Burnaby's Deer Lake Park provided the backdrop for Carmen and Damir's photo shoot. The weather was perfect once again, Carmen looked stunning, and her four flower girls made my job easy.

Melissa and Slobodan Get Married!

Wow....Busy Weekend...John was shooting another Wedding in New West, I was at Melissa and Slobodan's shoot in Burnaby and Coquitlam. We managed to only get drizzled on a little bit, the rain God's were with us for sure :)...

I was shooting with a very good friend of mine... Bob Moore... AKA "The Wedding Guy"
Bob has shot hundreds and hundreds of Weddings. Formals are Bob's Coupe de Grace' and let me just say it was great to be working with a true Master and Mentor.

Slobodan, Melissa..... What a great day and what a great Wedding... the Church, Venue, WOW... fantastic!!! A few teasers for you...Does it get better than this? :)
